Phyllis Rosenfield, M.A., Executive Director/President
Phyllis Rosenfield is the founder and Executive Director/President of Listening for a Change. She has a background in education, social science, and fine arts, and has a masters in Equity and Social Justice. She was the photographer and co-creator for “The Sonoma County Survivor Project”, and has served on numerous boards and commissions, including Chair of the Sonoma County Commission on Human Rights, and President of the Sonoma County League of Women Voter
Lillian Fonseca
Graduating with a B.A. in Mexican American Studies from Sonoma State University, Lillian Fonseca used her bilingual emphasis to teach various grade levels in immersion programs and regular programs for 37 years in Healdsburg. Before her retirement in 2019, she worked as an English/History/AVID teacher for 8th grade and trained AVID students in Listening for a Change’s interviewing techniques. Lillian is currently a member of CREED, a committee formed by Sonoma County Sheriff’s Department to explore ways to promote equity amongst our diverse community and to provide transparency for all stakeholders. She is a firm believer that change is possible with everyone’s participation.
Michael Gillogly, Chair
Michael Gillogly has a long history of supporting progressive political movements, human rights, anti-sexism and environmental justice. Michael moved to Sonoma County in 1994 to become the Resident Biologist for the California Academy of Sciences at Pepperwood. As Pepperwood expanded he transitioned to Preserve Manager and oversees restoration and maintenance projects, directs field operations and coordinates with researchers. Michael has led eco-tourism trips in Alaska and California and guides whitewater rafting expeditions throughout the western U.S. He lives at Pepperwood with his wife where they raised their now adult son.
Sandra Pardo, Secretary/Treasurer
Sandra Pardo is a Social Worker for the Adult & Aging Division, County of Sonoma for the past 16 years. She works with people 60 and older and helps identify resources and services that allows them to live independently in their homes. Previously, she worked for Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey and the late Senator John Vasconcellos, as Case Worker and District Director. Born in Chicago, raised in Healdsburg and Geyserville, she is married & has three kids in college. She enjoys photography and traveling. She holds a B.A in Sociology and a B.A. in Latin American Studies from Sonoma State University.
Nina Strika
Nina Strika is an educational therapist, coach, and consultant in private practice who works with people of all ages and backgrounds, offering a space to feel seen, heard, and supported. Nina holds two master’s degrees, one in clinical social work from Columbia University and one in education from Bank Street College of Education and is a credentialed teacher of special education and a licensed master social worker in New York State. Nina has worked in the combined fields of education and mental health for over 25 years, most recently as the Director of Student Support at a TK-8 independent school. Nina finds balance in her life by riding her bike (fast) and walking her dog (slowly). She also has a deep appreciation of her Croatian heritage and enjoys spending time there. Nina resides in Santa Rosa with her husband and two teenage children.
Richard Zweig, Vice-Chair
Dr. Richard Zweig is board certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. He received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University and has been in practice for more than 48 years. He was the rheumatologist at Kaiser for thirty three years, and now works at the Alliance clinic in Windsor. Richard, and his wife, Dr. Loretta Zweig, have lived in Santa Rosa for forty years. He loves spending time with his wife, three sons, and four grandchildren.
Seelah Kittlestrom, Youth Advisor
Seelah Kittelstrom is a senior at Montgomery High School. Her favorite class is English and she hopes that this interest will translate into a career path that involves reading and writing with the purpose of helping other people. Her favorite thing to do is drink coffee and play cards with her dog nearby after a long run. An avid runner, she competes at the state level for the track and cross country teams; Seelah recently finished 15th in the seeded 3,200 with a time of 10:39.86. It’s the 11th-fastest time in the event in Redwood Empire history!

Melissa Long, Director of Community Engagement
Melissa Long worked as a trial attorney before moving to Hong Kong where she worked in the arts, first writing and editing for the Arts Festival, and then as Director of the Hong Kong Literary Festival. Since then she has been Executive Director of the Aspen Education Foundation, and most recently, Director of Advancement at the Children’s Museum of Sonoma County. She has served on several boards, and in her free time, tries to keep up with her children’s myriad activities.
Evan Johnson, Videographer
Evan Johnson is a 20 year multimedia professional with stops along the way in public television at The Community Media Center of Santa Rosa, C-Media and The Community Media Center of Marin as well as Broadcast coordination and video production for the City of Santa Rosa and studio production for Al-Jazeera affiliate AJ+. Evan is a jack-of-all-trade video credits in numerous non-profit and company productions.
